Look inside

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008

Trends and fads can be very lucrative to anyone looking to make money, especially if you get in front of them before the masses catch on. Yet so many people miss the opportunities to capitalize, and once missed people often find themselves at the starting point looking for the next “great opportunity” all over again. Usually the time to buy into that good company with a great product, is way before CNBC reports it!

The whole world is in search of the next big trend. People are constantly following the wagon, instead of driving their own. Build your confidence and become the next sought after trend everyone including yourself is in search of! Become the commodity, new invention, hot stock pick, and huge payday, you greatly desire.

When you hear of the success of another person, it’s not a green light for you to follow them and abandon your ship. What are your visions? Your visions aren’t for anyone else, just as someone’s vision is not for you. Just because you know of someone who is having a lot of success in a particular field it doesn’t mean you will perform the same. We all love the idea of working a business with other people sharing in the same vision, but it rarely happens that way. People rarely pioneer, yet love to follow. You have to look inside, belief in yourself, then people will follow you.

If I have friends that are very successful in real estate does that mean the same will happen for me? It could be a great indicator that I will get some insight on how to get things done, yet it doesn’t mean I will perform the same as my peers. Everything is not meant for you! You weren’t made to become the second person to reach the top of Mt.Everest, you were made the to be the first person who __________________ (fill in your blank). Even if the closest people to you don’t support your vision, forget them. Look inside, build your confidence, and set off on your journey.

Everything worth having is worth working for! The journey to success starts with one step at a time. There will be a lot of endless nights and stressful days. Hunger pains and headaches. Days of doubt and nights of frustration. But continue to push forward until you get a breakthrough. The road isn’t easier, yet its much more fulfilling!

Action: Stay away from get rich quick ideas. Your big break is within you!

Write your success story!

Sunday, April 20th, 2008

A great way to vision your goals and to create the emotional push necessary to accomplish them, is writing your own Success story.

Before you just grab a pen and start to scribble all your dreams onto a loose leaf paper. Take some time out and ask yourself what means a lot to you, where do you see yourself in 6 months to 5 years. I recommend doing a 6 month Success story, but you can do one with any time frame that suits your vision. (Your time frame is very important because this will also be your time line for completing your desired goals.)

Next after you’ve thought about what you really want, start to think of a great title to add flavor to your story. Use your life experiences to make it real to you. Example: Former drug store clerk takes her talent as a performer to Broadway where she’s an instant sensation! Create a headline thats takes you from your present to your future, and one that also sparks an emotional fire inside of you!

Once you have you killer headline, its time to write your story. The body of your story should look like this:

  1. Write about you and your past accomplishments and failures.
  2. What you currently do now, and tie it into your breaking point or your actions that started to change your outcome.
  3. Write about your breaking point, break through, your successes and the great life your are living ( be as animated and emotional a possible throughout the story)

After your story is complete read it, it should be so vivid and nerve striking that it demands immediate action from you!

Read your story with passion 10 times a day for one month, and watch your life grow into you Success Story!

Goalsetting

Friday, April 11th, 2008

Goalsetting is one of the best things anyone can do! Making a list of your goals and breaking them down into small easy to do task on a daily basis, is a sure way to ensure your success at the end of the tunnel. Self discipline is needed to stay on track, to do the “small but essential” task in order to realize your desired goals.

What is one of your goals every morning before you leave your house? Isn’t it to leave your house clean and presentable? So what do you do… take a shower, brush your teeth, groom your hair, iron your clothes etc. You do all these things to ensure you leave your house clean and presentable, in the process you’ve created daily habits. A step by step process for leaving your house clean and presentable, has now turned into a series of small task that’s done before you leave your house to ensure your goal is achieved.

Achieving your goals isn’t hard, just break them down into simple task.

Picture a staircase there are many small steps before you get to the top, if you removed all of the steps it would be a lot harder to get to the top, and for many its impossible to jump to the top. Yet the each individual step was created to make your journey to the top more attainable. If you take this same approach to all of your goals you will reach your goals every time!
