Treating your body right (part 1)

Well… it’s been 12 days I’ve been without chicken, turkey, beef and pork. My goal is to stay away from meat for a month, but I think this is something I can get use to for a long time. I have to say I still enjoy fish, and I don’t think I will give that up any time soon.

My reasons for giving up meat, is simply change! I wanted to eat healthier, challenge myself, and I began to feel like the meat was weighing my spirit down. I have to say I feel great! I don’t miss and I’m not tempted to go into the cookie jar.

I started to realize many of us go after success and achievements so much we tend to forget about our bodies in the process. Taking care of your body should be a top priority. Eating healthy, daily exercise and juicing.

I was listening to a guy called Dr. Afrika and he said something that made a lot of sense. He said ” If you sit down eat the wrong foods and gain weight, you should be able to sit down eat the right foods and lose weight.” Which made total sense to me, we shouldn’t look towards exercise as our savior for losing weight. Correct eating should be! A few extra pounds a clear indicator that our food isn’t in line with our body’s essential needs. Sure it’s hard to find the “healthy selections” in our local supermarkets, healthy eating is much more expensive, and most people don’t know where to start. Despite all of the excuses we can come up with, there is one thing to be remembered. It’s your body… cherish it!

Would you buy a racing dog and feed him cheeseburgers? Would you buy beautiful salt water fish and feed them cat food? No! So why treat your body that way, don’t you value your body more than a pedigree or a eye captivating fish?

“Eating to live, not living to eat” is my new outlook!

Action: Cut out three things in your diet that isn’t the healthiest for you, and replace it with a healthy substitute.

Thank you Kenneth for the the thoughtful message.
I guess we all know that we have to take that step in order to see change. That is where the discipline comes in. That I’m sure for everyone is the hardest part.
You’re message is appreciated even more, knowing how many people you have on your friends list….now that is true discipline!!!!
I Will be changing a few things in my diet and my childrens diet and will get back to you with results…….in time!
Thanks again Kenneth for your care and concern…..may it come back 10 fold!
    Welcoming change……

    Kenneth I completely agree 100%!
It’s so great that you make this very important point. It resignates with me a lot and let me tell you why.
I recently quit my job of 9 years. It paid great, great benefits, flexible hrs but was doing nothing for me or my spirit. So I decided to make a change. I left my job to pursue a career as a Nutritional Consultant. I’ve always been a health concious person, always advising my family and friends about health issues, so thought why not do it as a career. Love what you do and do what you love right!
Studying the law of attraction for some time now I knew I was heading in the right direction, then something happened that I was not expecting. You how “they” say that the universe/God always knows the fastest, quickest, most harmonious way between you and your dream! Well I know this for a fact. Shortly after quiting my job and enrolling in my nutrition studies I was devinely guided to a chance meeting through a friend of a friend who introduced me to a nutritional product and company that now is my successful home based business! The product is called MONAVIE.
If you haven’t already heard of it you soon will as this is THE FASTEST growing privately owned company in North America and the reason for this is because this 1 nutritional beverage is doing some amazing things for people’s health and financial status. Here I thought I was going to be a Nutritionist still working 9-5 but at least in a field I enjoyed, but NO the universe had much better plans for me. I feel so blessed that MONAVIE found me and that I recognized this opportunity sitting right in front of me where I least expected it!
I think it’s fantastic you are taking stock in your health, because like you mentioned before a lot of us focus so hard on our dreams and goals yet many of us neglect our health and as a result are not able to fully enjoy the fruits of our labor! This company and business opportunity with MonaVie- allows me to help people feel better, look better, live longer and become financially free at the same time! It’s an amazing feeling to be a part of something so great. This company is deeply routed in the phylosophy of everybody helps everybody and everybody wins!
If you are serious about taking charge of your health, I strongly urge you to check out MonaVie on my website http://www.mymonavie.com/nicolephilippon and what it can do for your health!

Thanks for all your inspiration! Keep it coming!

    All my best,
    Nicole

it’s so funny that we seem to be going through the same thing! haha..

i too gave up meat a couple of weeks ago. (ok, i slipped like 3 times..stupid restaurants)..

i gave up meat for multiple reasons. 1. because after seeing some of the cruel ways animals are treated, I couldn’t bear being a reason animals are slaughtered, just to fill my stomach. 2. because its important for me to create within myself, the kind of person that can build positive habits which i have lacked for so many years.

some may see this as adding a fight that does not need to exist. (making a mountain out of a molehill) but i think of it as optimizing my abilities to refrain from needless wants, fruitless cravings, and harmful urges. ultimately establishing self discipline and inner strengths.
