Recession Proof!
There are many people talking about the state of the economy and where this country is headed… don’t pay attention to any of them. View yourself as your own country and recession proof! You are an individual not an industry, which means you are always able to make a quick transition. Become a switch hitter, and hit the ball on the left side of the plate as opposed to the right side. In boxing we call it southpaw, when a boxer is able to fight his opponent leading with his right hand opposed to his left hand, depending on his opponent’s skill level. Take a different approach and switch it up. Many people are becoming very successful in these times, make yourself one of them!
Community colleges, Universities, Training centers, and certification courses make a killing in these times. People are starving for more information, opportunities, and answers to their problems. Which means there is a huge opportunity for you to advance. In the times of scarcity who doesn’t want more? The network marketing industry flourishes in these times due to minimal investment and the great potential for capital gain. Speakers who are able to teach and motivate are highly sought after today! What are you able to teach someone? What experiences are you able to share with others? People are waiting in line to receive more information, become their teacher! Explore your many options! Brand yourself and open the door to your prosperity!
If the masses are talking about lack, do not enter into their conversations. People will only speak of their experiences and their limitations. Your world should never be capped by someone else’s lack of experiences.
Make it happen! Remember someone is always making money whether the market is going up or down. It’s all about positioning yourself! Become your market maker, and create a market for yourself!
Action: Never mind what you don’t have , look at what you do have. Create a market!

Amen! It is so tempting to get negative. Being negative is an escape from responsibility. When I tell people I’m doing great about 3/4’s of then say wow your lucky I hope things keep going well for you in this horrible economy. I laugh to myself and shake it off. I’m just gonna be the best I can with what I have and remember there are opportunities I have not even conceived of yet.

You are so absolutely right! I was on the phone with my brother yesterday. ABX is going to lay off a huge bunch of his pilots. These guys have literally years and years of experience. We will see disasters like these happen more often in the future. Things are even changing over here in Europe. The real estate market is slowing down. The mortgages are getting higher, energy costs are reaching historical highs. People who won’t get education will be swallowed by this growing economical avalanche. New opportunities are born every day. Risk taking will become a new standard. There is no more room for ignorance. But, then again,…was there ever?
You wrote a great article, on you are right on the money.
I start 2 new companies in the real estate arena next month! While everybody reacts like I am crazy? Well, if I would follow the same stream of the others, I would be!
But, I base my decision on the conviction that this market still offers opportunities, when we act by the right approach.
Salmons grow bigger and stronger swimming upstream.
And,….it takes lots of determination and DISCIPLINE!

This was a great post. You are absolutley correct in everything you say. Times are tough in todays day and age, BUT it is up to the individual to stand up and fight back and make every day count.
It is very easy to sit back and say that we have a bad economy and I deserve to make less money. It is more fulfilling to say that we have a very bad economy and I am going to find a way to put food on the table and actually make more money than I was before.
Stay positive and always keep your eyes open because most of us miss opportunities because they are disguised as WORK!

For every problem there is an opportunity…just the other day I saw stacks of magazine whit front cover subject about the upcoming recession…I think they will sell hundred of thousand’s for that magazine..I forget about th title..but It really caught my attention…not enough to make me buy it still…
Energy flows where attention goes…I’m not even paying attention on the lack…there are score of opportunities out there…and recession will bring new one!!!!
